My Calling

It's a whisper to start
A murmur heard in the dark
Was that my name on the wind
Blowing on my heart?

It came again, not long after
This time, a little harder
That WAS my name I heard to begin
And my heart beat a little faster

Then came a moment I could not ignore
So clear the voice, bellowing at the door:
'Let me in, let me in ~ this is Your Calling
Bearer of light, holder of more'

'Let me in, let me in ~ this is Your Calling'

Through the keyhole, I saw my future
I was alone ~ yet not lonier
Still, I could not help the fear growing
As everything was new there

It came again

'Let me in, let me in ~ this is Your Calling'

And so I did

I opened the lock tentatively
The light streamed in so pensively
A remembered story entered
and I found myself singing
While I made My Calling a cup of tea

Welcome in My Calling
Welcoming My Calling

Wind to begin, this is my calling
Fear growing, myself singing

I call in my ancestors
I call in my guides
I call in my love
I call in your love
I call in our love
I call in the silence
I call in my voice
I call in the present
I call in by choice
I call in all languages
I call in the stories
I call in the truth
I call in all glory

My Calling never left me
